Enterprise Asset Management and E1?

We are toying with the idea of moving to 8.10 or 8.11. The push is Enterprise Asset Management requirements. Is any one out there using E1 extensively for EAM? Do you have any links to your GIS system? Quite a few organizations are using third party software for operational needs and feed financial information to E1.
Any advice or information would be appreciated.
Thanks

We use E1 EAM extensively. We found the cost of using a "best of breed" asset management package and interfacing multiple times to/from E1 cost prohibitive. E1 EAM meets 85%+ of our requirements.

We are interfacing to GIS using cross SQL database table views keyed off asset ID and system ID which are stored in both JDE and ESRI GIS. JDE holds all asset information. ESRI holds only geographic info. It allows GIS users to select asset features and return attributes stored in JDE. Is working well for us so far.

We've built a pretty good business by focusing on the EAM module, so yes, there are plenty of users out there using EAM in E1. Send me a private message if you are interested in references. We have several in public sector and pipelines/utilities that have GIS requirements.
