Jobs In AS/400 Halted

The JDE jobs we submitted to our AS/400 may halted (it happened at least one time per week). In "wrkactjob" screen the jobs in JDE subsystem "JDEE810" which status is "MTXW" instead of "DEQW". We need to stop the JDE service in AS/400 and restart it otherwise all batch jobs submitted to enterprise is stop.

Is there any fix we need to apply? We are currently using EOne 8.9 service pack 3 and our AS/400 is V5R2.

Thanks,
Wilson

Hi Wilson,

Do you do any package deployments with the users logged on? I've found
that if a package is deployed to the server while users and batch jobs are
using the specs, it can freeze the system. If there are a lot of object
lock conflicts the freeze can take a LONG time to recover and you will have
to restart your services to correct the problem in any decent timeframe.
To prevent this you should deploy after hours or kick users out of the
deployment environment to reduce object lock conflicts.

Regards,
Gerald.

This has happened to us when we had the R42800 running while folks were entering SO and shipping. JDE warns against this situation. Was the R42800 running when this happened?

Hi wkaauamo,

It should not be the problem of R42800 (Sales Update). We scheduled the Sales Update jobs running on midnight and this problem is happened day time. I think my problem is not related to R42800.

Thanks a lot for your help!
Wilson
