hi,

While reading JDE docs,i come to know that business views are bridge between applications and data.

Which control table holds the relationship between applications like Address book revision and business view used by that applications?

From which table i can get more information about business view, like underlying tables on which view is built....

thanks in advance

This information is most likely in the central objects tables F987* stored in a blob, so you can't see the association. The best way to get what you are looking for would be building the cross reference table. It takes a long time to build. We did it a few years back on a prior release. Great stuff if you have the disk space. It took over a week to build. Hope this helps.

Kiran,

There is an application in the system - Cross
reference facility (P980011). If it not installed in
your company other than storage space reasons, you may
need to intall it. It takes about 5gb per
environment/path code.

Launch this application, click business view tab. From
there you can find all answers to your questions.....

Good luck!

Kiran,

The Best thing would be to build the X-Ref as suggested by others.

But incase you want to have a quick look for a specific Form - Business view relationship and dont have the time to build the X-ref you can always use UTB to lookup the local TAM or RDB specs. The table or spec file you want to look at is FDASPEC or table F98751. The local TAM file is easier to read . Just query on szForm and check the value in szView.

In ealier releases you need to make an entry in local jde.ini for UTB to show you the TAM menus. it was something like

[INTERACTIVE RUNTIME]
TAMMenus=Show

In 8.11 you dont need this.

Good Luck
