We have used grid imports from Excel extensively in our conversion from
legacy system to Xe. It works very well and my last import was about 300
records. I think others on the financial side here have imported larger
amounts of records.

While I'm not familiar with the budget program, I can tell you that I've
used the bill of material entry program in this manner successfully
importing 1000 lines at a time. I believe I could've imported more but was
limited by my line number increment and decimal place setting. Good luck.

p.s. Don't forget to point out to your users the need to have one more
column selected from their spread sheet than the data being imported. I
refer to it as "Data + 1".
