ESU Installation - Descirption

After ESU installation - the output shows the desirption as "CHANGE or REPLACED or ADD" for each object.
Plz help me in knowing of what exactly the meaning of CHANGE or REPLACE here.

This means the code from the ESU either OVERWROTE (Replaced) or was MERGED (Changed) with the existing code in Central Objects. This behavior is controlled by the Merge Option flag in the Specification Merge Selection application (P98401).
