You are running business functions out to another machine and that machine
isn't accepting the business function call. You have to check OCM to see
which machine it is running to and check the load on that machine.

Hi!

Did you check your services?
Ping to the server from the workstation?
ODBC and Client Access Settings on the client?

FW: Communication with <ES name> Failed

Hi,

This 'Communication with server failed' do happen often at out site and
normally when users retry ie. submit the UBE again it works. Timeout issue
or server is overloaded.

We have on occassions faced errors like 'failure to communicate with TMS' or
'waiting for TMS'
etc..... Noticed that this would normally coincide with a UBE running at the
server either 'hung' or runs in a loop until no new sign-on is possible and
all other jobs in 'W' until we kill that suspicious batch job at the server.
Sometimes the jde queues just disappeared and we just have to reset the OW
services.

I'm not too sure if any one else has all these communications failures - I
have no idea how to solve this and it can happen any time of the day and no
specific UBEs that we can identify to be the cause except for one - our own
FRW which we barred user from submitting to server until we find out what's
wrong.

Rgds

Sook Fun,
We are an HP9000/Oracle 8.05 shop on OneWorld also. We have noticed
that the OraListener tends to go down from time to time (can't explain why
though)....but once you simply start the OraListener things are back to
normal. You may want to investigate this next time you see "strange"
behavior about communication failures.
