8.11 Standalone and Fusion Middleware

Hi List,

to test the fusion middleware, I was thinking of installing it on my laptop, next to my standalone 8.11 installation.
I can install the web services gateway (which is nothing else than an altered version of XPI it seems?) but if I want to create a connection to 8.11, I need an ES, security server and transaction server (can this be installed on websphere express?).

Is there a way to connect to standalone 8.11 installations? Has anyone already tested the Fusion middleware?

Do you have some documents about XPI. I have to work but not getting any useful information anywhere. I want to know

1. Whats the basic Software and hardware reqts for installing XPI

2. How to install it in Windows.

3. What purpose will it solve.
