RE: Refresh of CRP Business Data from PROD... R98403 Help? ~~39
Vladimir,
They are some more ways of refreshing data which are way faster and more
accurate than using the UBE...
If you are are on sql server, you can actually:
1- back up your production database
2- restore your backup to a "crp" database
3- Change the owner proddta, prodctl, prodb732, to crpdta, crpctl,crpb732
4- point the crp env to your crp database
The above takes me 2 hours with a 12gb db...
Development Downtime = 0
I do not have to worry anymore about the r98403 which is totally
unefficient on SQL server. JDE uses cursors and transfer is done one record
at a time. Moreover, I have experienced many time HUGE discrepencies of
record between my prod data and crp data which screwed up my environment.
Cheers
