I currently have a JDE sandbox on a different network that is named the same as my production machines. We are in the process of creating a new sandbox on a WMWare configuration that they will like to put on the production network, however we only have a single domain so there is a conflict with the server names being the same.
I would like to know how other JDE clients with a sandbox system are handling the naming conflicts. We use our sandbox for SOX compliance restore and to first apply any major upgrades/updates. Currently for SOX we were restoring the entire system, including system tables. I an considering having the servers on the same domain with different names and for SOX just do data restore and not the system tables because the mappings will be all screwed up once the system tables are restored.
Any advice/input will be appreciated.
