HEADDUMP

Hello,

We are experiencing a very irritating problem. We have IBM Websphere on a Intel Server on which JDE is running, 8.94. We mainly work with HTML interface.

Once in a while on the server a file is created with the following name:
HEADDUMP."date"."seqnr"."seqnr".txt

"date" is todays date
and the "seqnr" are a number which we have not yet identified in logic.

At the moment the headdump is created the system is not performing (at all) for about 2 minutes. As the file is then starting to grow, after the first 2 minutes stop, the system is getting slower.

We have already looked at the possibility to stop the system creating this file, but this still creates a system stop on the moment it is trying to create the file. We are now regularly removing the file.

This performance is not acceptable to our users. Has anybody already experienced this? What have you taken as actions?

Appreciating any suggestions,

Saskia
