Japanese Language Support

We have DB2 database which is not Unicode. Currently all locations are using English Language. We have a requirement of supporting Japanese(Double-Byte).
Is it possible to install Japanese as a second language, English being the first, keeping in view the constraints mentioned above?
It will be grateful if i can get suggestions on the same.

It is possible to support both English & Japanese. You did not state your platform. If you are using the AS/400 use CCSID 939, SQL code page 932. Be aware that English/Japanese can be supported, however if you want to support other Western European languages, ie german or spanish, you will need Unicode or 2 instances.

Just to follow up. If you are talking an existing instance that is not ALREADY in 939/932 I don't think it's possible.
