Unable to view toolbar for media objects on windows xp machines

I am currently unable to see the toolbar for media objects on the fat clients that are windows xp. The windows 2000 machines are fine. We are running EnterpriseOne XE sp 22. I have noticed that there was a documented issue with this on oracle's website but they're solution is to install imaging for windows from a windows 2000 disc. I tried that using a german installation program that I found on the web and I can now run imaging for windows but I am still unable to view the media objects. Actually I can view the media objects but the toolbar which allows me to zoom in and print isn't there which from everything that I have read requires imaging for windows. Has anyone else had this issue? Please help!!!
