default menu

I am using 8.10 for the first time, and my apps. start to create task views and tasks for the users to be assigned to their profile "default menu" but this feature is not there on the 8.10. after consulting peoplesoft and as a temp solution i am doing raw security on F9000 but this becoming a big hassle now.
does any body knows how we can set the default menu for each user/role.?

Each user needs to be assigned to a role based taskview. You cannot assign the role based taskview to the group like you assigned a degault menu to a group in the OneWorld Explorer. Attached is a document that might help you understand the relationship. I wrote it for XE users, but it is still relevant for 8.10 users.
