Hi, We currently use a SQL Server database to run JDE B7333 SP 15.

Does anyone when know when it will be compulsory to migrate from SQL Server to an Oracle Platform?

Thanks

As of now, you can stay on MS SQL. I'm sure you'll hear a large howl of displeasure when (not if) Oracle closes that door.

Oracle Execs have said at the Grapevine and San Fran conferences that the decision has not yet been made by Larry, but multiple databases will probably be supported. HOWEVER (this is the catch) the Oracle execs did say that Oracle will probably optimize Fusion to run on Oracle. So it will probably become an issue of efficiency in the future. We are SQL also and have no immediate plans to change but will certainly keep an eye on how things develop over the next 5-8 years.
