Service Pack Install

Hi List,

We are at 8.94L1 and trying to move to 8.95P1 . However when we run the installmanager .exe, though the process say completed successfully the system directory is bot getting modified. The program does get stuck at 21% but comes out and says Installation Successful and when we try to reinsatll it say , the Tools release is already installed.

The systemcomp directory now has 2 cabfiles ( sys**.Cab and sys**2.cab) .They have come from the service pack.

Do we require to do any aditional steps other than the ones mentioned in the instruction for applying 8.94 Service Packs. I guess the the installation shud by itseld unzip the cab files under the systemcomp directory and place it with system...?

Any body with the same prob or can sumone help me out ...???

I had troubles with installing 8.94 P1. The system directory would not get replaced because a windows service was locking some of the dll's (ACE.dll) was an example. As a workaround we applied the tools release while windows was in safe mode. This allowed the system directory to get replaced.
