Question on Checked out objects before running R98403

Hi Folks,

We are running R98403 to copy the PD to PY i.e.refresh PY from PD.

So basically, this is the process we are following :

· Copy the Central objects from Production(PROD) to Prototype (PY) (Run R98403 Version 19)

· Copy the Control tables from PROD to PY(CRP) (Run R98403 Version 22)

· Copy the Business data from PROD to PY( CRP) (Run R98403 Version 21)

· Copy OneWorld Versions List Table from PROD to CRP (Use R9830512)

· Copy all Deployment server directories from PROD to CRP

· Manually Copy AS/400 Pathcode Library From PROD to CRP

· Copy IFS Specfiles from PROD To CRP

· Copy Packages From PROD to CRP

· Update Object Librarian records for Prototype (CRP) from Production

I belive this is the correct process to refresh PY.

But my concern is I checked the version table i.e F983051 for PD and PY and I saw a lot of versions checked out for both PY and PD i.e.

Via UTB Open table : F983051 for both PY and PD.
Check the records with VRCHKOUTSTS='Y. I saw a lot of records.

Even though I also checked the F98222 (POOMWCHS) for cheked out objects :
0 - Checked-in
1 - Checked-in and holds token
2 - Checked-out

There were no records with 2 but there were a lot of records with 1.

So I assume that even though there are no objects that are checked out but a lot of versions are checked out both in Pd and PY.

Under that scenario, should I continue with the R98403 method of refreshing data. Would that cause any problems? Or is it neccassary to check in all the versions before proceeding?

Another thing that I would like to know is if I only run R98403 Version 21 ( for copying Business Data) and Version 22 (Control tables since the next number tables are also to be copied), would that work without needing me to have all the versions checked back in?

Please help me since this is a critical consideration for us to make before proceeding.
