Hi,
I'm brand new at the forum & I was wordering if anyone of you have info regarding the subject as the company that I work for has two different businesses and they're planning to unify the information regarding both companies keeping each of the company numbers & names. Is there any hierarchical way to define a structure of higher level that those to existing companies would report to? ( in order to treat them as if they were subsidiaries or branches of the new company to be created )

If it is just Financial Reporting then make use of the Business Unit category codes and account cat codes. FASTR reporting works very well based on these cat codes. FASTR reporting does not have to be confined to company.
