Dear List,

We are having a couple of on going problems with R11414 Currency Restatement
and have not found a solution with JDE. Has anyone else had similar issues
and solutions?

The primary issue is that the APYC field in the AC ledger F0902 record is
changed when restatement is run. We have Post By Currency turned on and the
AAI PBC range includes the balance sheet accounts. Initially we had
problems with the F0902 and PBC setting but have resolved those issues,
whereas, the AA records in the PBC range have the CRCX Currency From field
populated with a currency code and the non-PBC range F0902 AA records have a
blank CRCX field. We did find have a mixture of blank and populated CRCX
fields within the PBC range would cause this problem. We run the annual
close program for the AC ledger to fix this issue each month.

The second issue involves using the override rate field in the P1114 Revise
computation for a specific range of balance sheet accounts using computation
method 1. There is no current month posting, but there is a balance in the
account, and the report uses the rate and populates the correct new balance
on the report, but does not update the AC record with a net change for the
month.

Any ideas or help is much appreciated.

William,

Issue 1
It sounds like you have two AA ledgers for the same account in F0902. This will cause problems when you run the restatement program. To verify whether you have a duplicate, look at the GBAID field by object and fiscal year. If two exist with different currency codes (blank and something else), you must delete the blank record. Be sure to note the amount in field GBAPYC as you will need to manually adjust the record.

Once the duplicate record is deleted, run the GL report with the data selection set for this one account. After the repost is finished, reenter the amount into field APYC. The next time you run the restatement, it should be correct.

Issue 2
If you do not specify a rate when running the repost and there have been no new rates entered into the rate table and there is no current period activity, there will be no entry. The system uses a lookback process to find the rate. The hierarchy is job parameter, most current table amount (effective date less than or equal to job date). Again, if none of the variables have changed, there will be no entry.
