Foreign Table Access

I have found the basics on setting up an ODBC and Data Source for access to a table in a database outside of JD Edwards. However I am unable to find any detail information on specifics on how to use Foreign tables within JD Edwards. Does anyone know of any documentation on setting up and using external tables in JD Edwards OneWorld?

We are on EnterpriseOne 8.0 sp 22. SQL Server Windows 2003.

Look for "EnterpriseOne 8.0 Table Conversion" PeopleBook.
If you can't find it, email me at [email protected]
PS I can't attach it - it's bigger than 9MB.

Hello,

From a developer point o view... :)

Using the Database APIs (JDEBASE) you can work with different databases from within E1.
There's documentation on the subject on the PeopleBooks and some examples avaylable on the online help.
But you have to write Business Functions to use the API.

I was able to find the XE version on the support site but not the one for 8.0

I will have our developer look at the XE version to see if that is what she is looking for.

Thanks

Re: RE: Foreign Table Access

We want to be able to update a table in our web database for external customers to view.
