Off List Replies from Pay Subscription Sites

I recently posted a question to the list, I did not get any replies to my question on this list. I did get emails sent directly to me via email from a site that charges for its information. The first email response is below, the second email was a follow up in case I had any questions about becoming a subscriber.

I know the Terms and conditions for jdelist say the following:
"You specifically acknowledge that soliciting other JDELIST.COM guests to join or become members of any commercial online service or other organization is expressly prohibited."

Has anyone else received responses like the one that I got?
