Refreshing DD on AS400, how?

Need AS400 specific help. We are installing Update 8. After installation, it's my understanding, I need to refresh the data dictionary on the Fat clients by deleting 6 files (glbltbl, ddtext, dddict -ddb and .xdb). These files are also on the AS400 ES on the integrated file system (ifs). Should I delete them there too. They exist under <path>\specfile folders on the ifs. Will they be recreated automatically after the services are brought back up? Thanks

They should. I know positively that they recreate automatically on Unix and NT servers. Try it on a non-production pathcode. Don´t delete them, rename. Just in case.
