printing to deskjet or inkjet printers

HAs anyone had any success printing to deskjet or inkjet printers (as oppose to laser) ? We have an issue in trying to use this type of printer in EO8.9

yes unfortunately JDE only supports printing to PCL or Postcript language printers most inkjet and cheaper laser printers do not use either of these

that's my understanding but we are only on XE
