JAS Database Failure

We have cloned Application P4111. The cloned object was modified to include the explanation field in the search header on the W4111A clone, and also in the Grid. We also overode the description on this field to "Date Code". The cloned object works fine on the "fat" client (after a package build, deployment and HTML eGen), however, the HTML client is throwing a "MSG346_JAS Database Failure" error when the Find button in clicked on this form. Does anyone know what is wrong?

Hi,

We are getting the same error on P4310 and other apps. We haven't solved it yet, but it is likely due to a corrupt SQL package on the iSeries. We are afraid to delete any JAVA* SQL packages in production until we have done so in Dev. Typically, you are supposed to be able to delete all SQL packages (once OneWorld is down) except those packages that start with Q*. The packages are supposed automatically recreate. We delete a select set of SQL packages as part of our OneWorld startup procedures. None of the JAVA* packages are in this procedure. Please let me know if any of this helps.

Peoplesoft recommends deleting the JAVAMIGBAA sql package to resolve JAS Database Failure errors like the ones you're experiencing, just do a search on the Peoplesoft Customer Connection website. That being said, we have one JAS error that won't go away either, and we've done everything suggested by Peoplesoft, including deleting the JAVAMIGBAA Sql package.
