I think your take is about right. There will be no stability anytime soon.
With OW, just because "it is the next release" does not mean it is more
stable. We have seen that.

Just look at the service pack issues. Instead of
releasing a service pack every other week, how about
getting one right. Ed McVaney said that Autopilot
would be used to test development objects before they
go out the door, that is obviously not happening.
Also, they are now firing account execs. for not
meeting their quotas, why don't they fire the QA
person responsible for some of these issues. Maybe
the sales people would have an easier sell.

I have refrained from commenting long enough

I think that JD Edwards quality is wonderful - that it is perfectly ok to understand that companies can go live on a product that cannot even compile correctly and that users will not notice. I love the fact that JDE response line has been telling us to go to SP 14.3 as soon as it appears - and yet today I am proud to see that Quality Control has captured all those little issues and prevented a nasty build leaking out into the general community. I fully understand that QA at JD Edwards is a high-pressure job and is certainly underpaid.

I also believe in the fact that Bush will restore the economy by taxcuts, that CNBC's Mark Haines is correct that we are NOT in a recession and that JD Edwards stock is really worth $75

I believe that splitting up Microsoft into 2 companies really will solve antitrust practices - that the people didn't really know that the US had a tunnel under the Russian Embassy - and that the Clintons didn't earn a penny from the Marc Rich pardon

How do I know all this to be true ?

Some little green men at the bottom of my garden told me so.......
