DEMO JUNIOR ERP 8.9

Someone knows if the version Demon Junior 8.9 functions well with Windows XP or is better to install Windows 2000?

It is a common question and you should search the List for the previous Posts. I have 8.9 Standalone installed and use Snapshot to flip over to ERP 8 and it all works on XP Professional.

However, results vary greatly depending upon the setup of your machine. Follow the known guidelines about such things as switching off the Logging and such like. It should work in Xp.

Demo Jr/8.9 works GREAT under XP.

You do NOT have to turn off the system restore feature (you don't do
package builds on the standalone).

Holler if you have any specific question - I currently have an 8.9
standalone on Windows 2003 Small Business Server. The Remote Desktop
features of 2003 allow me to work with the standalone from anywhere I
have internet access and can VPN into my home computer.

YMMV/HTH

Daniel, do you remember the code to change the DB System Settings in the jde.ini file to by-pass security on initial install of the demo junior?
kind regards paul

DBohner,
Tanks for information. I really find that the Demon version ERP8.9 doesn´t executed correctly in the environment Windows XP. The system shows many errors. I will go to install Windows 2003 or 2000 in my laptop.
Tks!

I didn't have a code that was required during the inital install.

If you are asking about the the authentication from Peoplesoft - its:
[DB SYSTEM SETTINGS]
BDSEC=ROBIN

in the jde.ini
