MFG- Phantom Components not on Alternate BOM Parts List

Apparently there is a known issue with JDE regarding phantom components not
being called out on the parts list of an alternate bill of material.

According to the support line, there is no fix planned in the future.

Has anyone encountered this issue? Possible solutions?
