spec missing on logic server???

We are on ERP8.9 and found that twice already that the specs were missing on the logic server . Has any one seen any thign like that. People have been suggesting that running a UBE can do this ( I am not too sure about it) . Is there any thign which would cause this.

This is a known issue that causes spec deletion on the logic server when locked spec files are encountered by the spec encapulation process. There is a paper on the PeopleSoft web site that goes over this process. It is Solution ID 200958230. They say that 8.93_N1 has this issue resloved. Hope this helps.....
