E1 and Gentran Integration Suite

We are migrating from TrustedLink/400 and BPCS to E1 and Gentran Intetragion Suite. GIS resides on intel based sequel database server, E1 uses e5 i500 as E1 server.
Please, suggest the best way to interface E1 and Gentran.
Using flat files, connectors, Zfiles?
Any suggestions are welcome.
