Auding users in 8.9...

We are looking for a method of tracking users, application access and use of Peoplesoft 8.9. Currently, the majority of users connect to the application via CITRIX with a small amount of fat client users. We are interested in using this information for purposes of charge-backs and various department use. Any Peoplesoft tools or knowledge of 3rd party software vendors would be appreciated. Also, in the future we are planning to connect to Peoplesoft via JAS and would also be looking for such features.

We are currently running Peoplesoft 8.93 with AS400, v5r3 Enterprise servers and CITRIX deployment servers that together offer lots of flexibility.

Check with a company called Centerfield Technology. They make a monitoring tool specific to E1 on AS/400 that is pretty cool. Tracks activity back to the E1 User ID.

Have you heard of any other companies besides Centerfield? Centerfield does not readily work with Peoplesoft 8.93.

Application by name, who accessed it and at what time ?

Try the Electronic Signatures feature provided by PeopleSoft. In Xe this used to available only after applying the CFR ESU. But I heard that from 8.9 onwards its available with the base install. Look up the CFR guide for more details on how to use the application

We have 8.93.N1 and planning on using the CFR to audit users. I saw in Peoplesoft website that it requires 8.92.E1 and 2 ESUs. Since we're in 8.93.N1, do we still need to apply those ESUs?
