print small labels

Dear All,

We are looking for a way to adress a label printer, that prints one label at a time (landscape) with size 89 x 28. It looks like PSFT (8.9) is limited to the smallest size of 89 x 51, when developping in ERW.

Has anyone tackled this problem before?

Thanks in advance,

Saskia

We cheated a bit. We use a standard label printing software (Bartender) to create a label with markers for JDE data. We then print to file using the printer driver that will be used at runtime. We then created a JDE business function that parses the file, substituting real data for the markers in the label. Finally, we copy the resulting file to the physical printer device. This method works for Citrix and Fat Client. I assume you could also write a business function that would work for your enterprise server as well.

please search key words at this site:
"Zebra", "DataMax" and "Optio"
We just finished as: PDF --> Optio --> Zebra
If interested, O have lessons to share
