One of our end user [fat client] is getting error when try to see Reports ->Prompt for Versions. She is getting the following error “Oneworld 0205.01_B733_SP18.1GA has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience” and closing JDE.

Windows XP, Oneworld B7333, SP 18.1, SQL server 2000.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

XP is actually not supported officially for B7332. Check the Minimum Technical Requirements. We however did get it working with XP. We now have since moved to B9. With XP you must make sure the the user has ADMIN rights. If not then there is a lot of ADMIN rights needed for certain files and registry entries.

B9 SP2, WINDOWS\SQL 2000

It was working fine upto last week. Only this week she is getting error. There is no change in the system this week.

One of the net connection related to the UBE might have lost. Stop and start the jde services.

Have you installed XP SP2 recently. I know this hapned to me in the past. XP SP2 enhance security block certain programs. Try turning off the XP SP2 Enhance security.

looks like you have corrupt specs

does it happen in every environment ?

if not go to the environment directory bin 32 \spec directory delete gbrspec.xdb and dbb, glbltbl.xdb and dbb, dddict.xdb and .dbb files ( X6) in total log back into windows and try it again

if the problem is unique to one specific application try and add that app to a package and reinstall it to the fat client

hope that helps
:)
