Request of new articles

Hi,
we are trying to put security in the creation of new items in the item master (P4101). We need an interface in order to get that users make their request for a new article. Then, a second user validates this request or refuses it. We don't know if JDE has something standard for this issue. Our first solution was to create a copy for P4101, and when the request was validated, to transfer the information to the F4101.
Has somebody any better idea to get this?

Have you used workflow process approval? It may be as
simple as creating request and approval workflow and
attaching it to your item master program.

thanks for your quick answer.
We thought in a first step about using workflow, but then we should introduce the information twice, one with the request and next when we validate it. We'd like enter the request in F4101 (if it's possible) in order to save the request and not duplicate efforts.

You do not have enter the info twice if you are using WorkFlow
In OK button you can trigger the workflow for Approval/reject request and depending upon the response you are going to commit the database.I would say WF would be easy
