EnterpriseOne Question - Data Conversion

Does anyone know if you can easily convert data from a production Xe environment to a non-production EnterpriseOne environment?

The reason I ask is I have a customer who wants to learn EnterpriseOne and my options are to upgrade or do a fresh install and copy data. Any ideas if I can copy data or if the only way to bring data over is to do the upgrade?

We've had to do this in the past. You basically have to setup a "data only" upgrade plan. This will provide the ability to perform data refreshes before actually pulling the trigger on the Production upgrade. Data Only upgrade plans are detailed in the CNC/Upgrade Documentation. You'll probably have to get creative with your data sources, but it shouldn't be a huge stretch for a decent CNC person.
