after adding security record using p98owsec,does\'t show record when we click on Find

P98OWSEC Unable to create users in Work with Security
---When we click add it brings up the add screen and we fill in all of the information but it does not display the row once we click ok and press find. This is an Xe environment running SP23_b1

A couple of questions?

1) Although you cannot see the entry through the P98OWSEC application, is a record being written to the F98OWSEC?

2) Has there been any row security applied to thd F98OWSEC or a data item with the *ALL parameter been added?

3) Outside of OneWorld via SQL can you see the record?

4) Has their been any security placed on this table from a database standpoint that would not allow a write?

I saw this problem a while back, and I think I traced it to a bug in the service pack the client was running. Take a look at the jde.log for your security server kernel(s). I think the enterprise server is actually the entity that is making the add/change. You may find an error in the log that you can do something with.

To find the logs you need to look in the jobfile= setting in the Enterprise Server jde.ini. There will be a number of logs. You need to look through them and find the security server logs.

Did you apply the ESU and deploy the package after SP23? There are changes to P98OWSEC. See the special instructions for the service pack.
