Unable to logon to JDE OneWorld XE

When attempting to logon the Database Password Entry dialog pops up asking for id and password. If the Admin id and password is entered the user is still not allowed to logon and the dialog returns. When the dialog is cancelled an error message is returned: jdecgrt: Unable to retrieve business view = P9881.

Hi Mike,

- Make sure you have a valid User ID and Password in the Database server.
DB2 UDB and AS/400 can use the OS to authenticate users. Oracle can have
it's own set of DB users.
- Make sure the client can find the server by NAME. Try pinging it from
the client.
- Check your SYSTEM USER ID and PWD in the User Security settings. Make
sure you don't have a typo.

Regards,
Gerald.

for that specific user, check the default DB and make sure it is pointing to JDE7334. Also, check the default DB for JDE and be sure it is pointing to JDE7334.

Check to see if the admin user id is disabled.
