I have two AS400, one for database/application and one for application (UBE,BSFN). First AS400 start EnterpriseOne services correctly, second one put in jde.log file an error

"gethostbyname failed returned 15 (NO_RECOVERY): No recovable error"
....
....
"Unable to initialize remote server MILITS41" (MILITS41 is first server)
"Failed to connect to MILITS42 - B9 Server Map" (MILITS42 is second server)

In second AS400 I already configured TCPIP table host and create one entry with command WRKRDBDIRE that point for db to the first AS400.
In your opinion where is problem? Maybe I jumped some steps?
Thanks
Gigi

CONFIG EnterpriseOne 8.9 SP3 B1 - V5R2

Have you read the document on PORTTEST for the AS/400 (OTI-99-0037)?

could you attach it to this post? I still can't login new knowledge garden.
Thanks

THIS PROBLEM IS SOLVED
"gethostbyname failed returned 15 (NO_RECOVERY): No recovable error"

I THINK THAT SOLVING FIRST PROBLEM, THESE PROBLEMS GOES AWAY, BUT THEY STILL REMAIN
"Unable to initialize remote server MILITS41" (MILITS41 is first server)
"Failed to connect to MILITS42 - B9 Server Map" (MILITS42 is second server)

HOW SECOND SERVER CONNECTS TO DB OF THE FIRST AS400?
THANKS
GIGI

Check Data Sources for the Server Maps. There should be a SVR data source in the data map that points to the other server. We use the dll name of DBDR in that data source.

I'm not sure it's ethical to post JDE's documentation on this forum, or I would send you the paper. Call support and ask them to send it to you.

I have only one Server Map, and resides on primary server. The problem is that secondary server can't access db on remote primary server and loads Server Map information.
Which is the configuration to allow second AS400 to access db on first AS400
Thanks
Gigi
