We are getting this message from our server. Any ideas? Platform is JDE/Xe B7333 on SQL Server and WIN/2000

Are the messages in a client jde.log, server jde.log, or popup messages? If they are in a log can you attach the log?

Is the Security Kernel started on your Enterprise Server?

Can you ping the Enterprise Server by name from the client? By IP address?

Have you set the "SecurityServer=severname" setting in the JDE.INI file on
the Client? Enterprise Server?

Good luck!

Gerald.

What service pack and one off are you on? Did anything recently change? ESUs? Update? Networking changes?

We had the same problem two weeks ago. I spent over an hour on the phone with the ever so helpful response line. After all was checked and going completely off the path of what was wrong, we decided to delete the DDDICT, DDTEXT and Global Tables from the AS400 and this seemed to work.

Hopefully you were able to resolved your problem quickly.

Stephanie
