Dear JDE List,
We are in the process of migrating from Xe to 8.9 and I have three =
questions.
1. Can we install 8.9 without Business Data and Control Tables being =
created in Unicode format (I understand that if you do an upgrade that =
BD and CT are not unicode but if you install 8.9 out of the box that =
they are unicode by default)?
2. Whether or not 8.9 is in Unicode format, can we use R98403 on the =
Xe side to copy to databases that are on the 8.9 side?
3. What character set do we use for Oracle for 8.9? Do we use =
Western European (I believe this is old) or do we use UTF-8?
Thanks in advance for any and all responses.
