If you think you're safe, beware.

When running Sales Order Update, R42800, a processing option item is to run
or not to run a Sales Journal. The Sales Journal is helpful but, be
careful. The Sales Journal report is R42810. BEFORE running a Sales
Journal from the R42800, check the processing options on the R42800. On the
"Print" tab, #1 asks if you want to run the Sales Journal. # 2 asks what
version of R42810 you want to run. If you leave # 2 blank, and have a "1"
in # 1, it defaults to XJDE0001. Here's the important issue: On R42810, on
version XJDE0001, the standard software comes out of the box for the R42810
to ADVANCE ALL STATUSES ON ALL SALES ORDER ITEMS CAPTURED BY THE DATA
SELECTION OF THE R42800 REPORT. If you do not want the statuses advanced
when running the R42810, you must go to the R42810 report, version XJDE0001
(on the G42111 or G49102 menu) and create a copy and call it something to
the effect of "not status advancing ...". On the new version, processing
options tab "Default 1", make sure this is BLANK. Put this new version name
as the default in the R42800, processing options tab "Print", # 2.

This will help keep major disasters from occurring.
