SP 14.1: Expired?

Hi List,

Recently we've installed the Xe Service Pack 14.1 and ordered a corresponding CD for our JAS.

However, in the process of that we were informed that 14.1 has expired and we now need to upgrade all clients to 14.2 as well.

Has anyone got any 'inside information' on why is has expired - any major issues with that? any other reasons?

Thanks for your help,

Dmitry,

I installed SP14.1, along with 14.1 for JAS, 2 weeks ago. Everything is working
fine and I have not heard that it has expired. I will research the Knowledge
Garden and contact my JDE client manager to get more facts. I'll let you know
if I find anything different.

The reason the service pack is expired is because as soon as the next one
comes out they expire the previous one. This does not mean they won't
support the Service Pack it just means you can't download or order an older
service pack. On average they release 1 service pack a month. So your best
bet is to order all the CD's at once.
