Any feedback on Deployment Assistant?

Hello,

Has anyone had any experiences with deployment assistant that they can provide some feedback about?

I am prior to a B8.9 upgrade and I have watched the video on the KG but am curious if any real customers are using it. We will be a HTML shop shortly and it looks like it might make the administration of all the various patches a lot easier.

I am a little leery however of the application as JDE does have a long history of offering new little apps that don't work well the first or second generation (like SAW).

Your feedback appreciated.

I've been using this for a couple of weeks. It's nice to be able to download from the Update Center directly from the assistant. I haven't had the usual java related problems I typically have with incompatible clients. It seems to be the only easy way to manipulate the .par files they distribute from the Update Center. I've had problems when downloading using the alternate method and also with renaming to .zip files. The update center had some problems there for a few weeks. I expect it will have some more turbulence in the future with the PSFT connection center handover.

Where can I find "Deployment Assistant" on PeopleSoft's site?
