Coexistence and L-Par

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to install World/OneWorld (coexistence) using two different L-Pars for each?

Thanks

Just think of LPAR as 2 different AS/400's (iSeries).

And yes this is very possible. The World LPAR would be defined as a database server while the OneWorld LPAR would be the Enterprise Server (minus the database).

Tim,
We currently have a Co-existence install and an LPAR.
The difference is, we use the first LPAR for the PRODUCTION environment only, (both World and OneWorld) then we have all other environments on the second LPAR.
The whole idea of Co-existence is that there are shared tables that are seen by both World and OneWorld. So why would you not want them to be in the same partition?

In order for coexistence to work, you have to be working on the same tables, so both World and OneWorld should be installed on the same LPAR to be coexistent.

However, if you want multiple environments, you can put the separate environments onto different LPARs.
