Hi all,

My enpterprise server is Win2000 sp4, SQL2000, OneWorld XE sp 19.1 update 2
and thinking of replacing the server. Just like to know if Win2003 Standard
Server would work with this config.

Thanx in advanced.

Win2000 , SQL 7.0 sp3, Xe sp 16.1

Hi I have ERP8.9 installed on 2003 and it works fine..I am not sure if 19.1 will support 2003... Just check with PSFT...

We are slowly converting all of our W2K boxes to W2K3. We have some test Terminal Servers on W2K3, and our deployment box is already converted. In the next month will convert our real terminal servers and then our enterprise and logic server.

MTR for W2K3 is SP22, so I don't suggest you do W2K3 until you've applied SP22.

Your SQL will also need to be at SP3 PRIOR to trying to load W2K3. I don't think you can load SQL SP3 until SP22 is installed either, but I'm not sure, I'd check that MTR also.

Then get ready to load MDAC 2.71 or MDAC 2.8 on everything.

Hi Bradbeckett,
Which MDAC version did you deploy in the scenario you described?
I am very confused (from the MTRs) which combination of Windows / SQL / MDAC is actually supported if we are to follow the PS suggestion for keeping the MDAC level the same everywhere.

To partially answer my own post...

I have the following response from a PS support case i raised :
For Enterprise server Windows 2003 with client workstation at Windows 2000, use MDAC 2.8 in all server and workstations.
For Enterprise server Windows 2000 with client client workstation at Windows 2000, use MDAC 2.71a in all server and workstations.
