Can anyone suggest a solution for MICR Coding on checks?

We are Xe, UNIX, Oracle.

Thanks!

Melissa,

If you're looking for MICR cartridges for printers, check out
Create-A-Check, they have a full line of MICR for printers.

Will Create-A-Check work with OneWorld? Does it just insert the MICR Code as the pdf goes to the printer?

Thanks.

I am not sure what you mean by "solution". Do you mean the "magnetic ink"
part? You can get cartridges for your printer that have magnetic ink for
doing this. Or do you mean software?

RE: RE: MICR Coding for Checks

The way we use CAC is to run a SQL query from the check that we've
generated. We convert it to a .csv file then it is imported into the CAC
software. We replace the normal printer cartridge with MICR ink (from CAC)
and run the checks.

This works well for us, the only issue we've run into is with our SQL
statement, but CAC has been great.

Melissa,

many shops use a 3rd-party forms solution such as Optio to handle document needs, including checks. Optio happens to be the solution we chose to go with. We also chose pre-numbered blank check stock (all the MICR stuff already on the check) for control reasons and because only one bank account for payables checks was required.

Cheers,
