XE to EO 8.9

Has anyone made the jump from XE to Enterprise 8.9 yet? Is so how did it go? What SP and Update level for XE were you at when you upgraded?

i would like to know how long it took in total from test to go live.

I would also like to know if anyone has compared XE to *.9 upgrade vs new install if one is better than the other when custom code is invloved.

I don't think anyone has gone live with an 8.9 upgrade yet. In fact, I haven't heard of an 8.9 live customer at all. I think the first one is going live within the next few weeks.

We upgraded from ERP 8 to EO 8.9 and I'm afraid it has been quite a painful experience! We were fairly stable on ERP 8, SP22_H1. Whilst the upgrade went okay, we have had lots of issues with 8.9. A combination of technical, Apps and Development issues. A lot have been resolved but many are still outstanding!

Things are supposedly better with the later Service Packs - we started on SP1_E1 and are now on SP2_B1.

We are doing a European rollout with the first country going live in July 2004.

Be interested to hear from other users implementing EO 8.9 and their experience(s).
