Export RDASPEC.ddb

I List,

I need to read RDASPEC.DDB to find out all the versions overrides we have. I know it's possible to read it with
UTB, but we can't manipulate the data. Is there a way to export this file to a Excel sheet ?

Number 1...how do you read RDASPEC (or any other spec file for that matter) with UTB????

Number 2...I hope by "manipulate the data", you do not mean update it. You do not want to update anything in any of the spec files through any other means than what JDE/PSFT provides (the toolset).

If you are (or have access to) an adept C programmer, there are TAM api's available to read the contents of the spec files. Knowledge of the spec layouts is paramount and it would take quite a bit of work to get it 'extracted' for use in Excel.

You can see the records in Tam files if you chage your jde.ini:
under [INTERACTIVE RUNTIME] add
tammenus=show

when you open UTB, File->Open Local TAM
