2nd AS400 as a data server

Hi List,

We have an AS400 enterprise server and have added a 2nd AS400 to act as
a 'data server' to carry a particular datasources for a set of tables.

Do the 'JDE services' need to run on this 2nd AS400 server if we are not
going to run any UBE's and the security server runs on the main
enterprise server ?

Are there any other setup considerations such as pass through etc ?
