Restore ESU/pathcode backup

For the first time, I tried to restore a pathcode backup made during the installation of an ESU into my DV7333 pathcode. The curious thing is it took about 30 minutes to make the backup, and about 30 seconds to restore from it. That can't be right!!! Can it??

Maybe I didn't do it right... I went into P96470, selected my ESU (to uninstall from DV7333), selected next, selected DV7333, and then clicked "Restore Backup" on the row exit. Did I miss something?

If you search the forum archives you will find this has been discussed a bit. The consensus (and my personal experience) is that the backup feature does not work reliably and with a larger ESU can take many hours to complete.
