We are at SP22. Enterprise server is AS400. Websphere running on intel. Have an occasional problem on JAS. Users get hung up with "white screen of death". They can cascade thru menus okay...but when they go to access data via an application....they get the white screen. Anyone else experiencing this?

What SP22 one off do you have installed?

One of the most useful settings I have found is to ensure that on the browser, the option to continually check for web page updates is selected.

Under IE - click on Tools/Options, then click on "settings" for Temporary Internet Files. Ensure the option "every visit to the page" is selected.

This is a great tips and tricks tip - it has helped save many users from hairpulling !

altquark is right. If you clear their internet cache, I bet it would start working again.

Interesting.....we had in a JDE Regional Specialist come in...
He told us to change that very setting to:
"Every Time You Start Internet Explorer".

Comments???

We also have had intermittant blank screens since applying SP22 in mid-December, but haven't had any at all this week since applying a work-around suggested by Global support last week. The workaround is to comment out the afpa lines in the HTTPD.CONF file and restart HTTP. These are the lines to comment out:

#AfpaEnable
#AfpaCache on
#AfpaLogFile "D:/IBM HTTP Server/logs/afpalog" V-ECLF

I hope this helps.

Vicki -- thanks for the info. I believe we are using IIS instead of HTTP.
