Not advisable.
Just for fun, I ran a full package build (which took 25 minutes in the office) over a WAN...
6 hours later, it was apparent that FAT client operations are better off performed in house...

I have done similar things previously setting up tiered deployment at a
remote site. Currently we cut cd's with packages on and send them to remote
sites (our DR citrix servers). Give me a call if there is anything I can
help with.
